2017 American Tournament

The Colin Smith Memorial Tournament took place on 16th September and was supported by 20 players and several spectators. Players were drawn as pairs from the hat and an American format was played. Over the course of the afternoon each player played a total of 32 games. In addition to this there was the final between Carole Bankes, Chris Richardson, and Tommy Spry, Bob (Roberta) Reid. The winners were Chris Richardson for the men and Roberta for the ladies. Thank you to Bob for being a great sport and playing in the ladies position. A special thanks goes to Malcolm for the loan of the BBQ again, Tommy for transporting the BBQ and to Hilary who stood in as chef this year. A profit of £110 was raised with £55 going to the British Heart Foundation and £55 to the club funds. Thanks again for all your support and help in Colin’s Memory . Carol Smith
